In the midst of the souls
Beautiful connection
A world outside of this bliss
Just can't possibly exist
And then you walk away
Reality shines light into
The truth of a new day
The heart shriveles and hides
Deep inside with those haunting
Echos that fill the mind
And the soul fights to stay alive
In case you walk back this way.
The words of dreams to one day live
Promises of a life of happiness
Weaving in just enough hope
To keep me holding the place for you
Not giving room for another to prove
Prove that I am a soul worth more

And then the perfection comes
A connection impossible to resist
Breathing life once again
To the dying soul within...
