Life's Gift

 Into my life came a man one day.
For no rhyme or reason he swept my thoughts away.
Words flew by with no understanding of time.
In the blink of an eye I was his and he was mine.

From a society he came that was far from the same.
A place so distant I could barely grasp the tastes.
Yet like opening a book and watching it spring to life.
The understanding filled with the sharing of each new write.

Tenderly, sweetly, harshly and yet truthfully,
Each soul was bared and feel in love completely.
Time brought the gift of a physical touch...
Proof that life before didn't know very much.

United we now stand against a world that falls.
A society that looks blindly to the love that enthralls.
Gold and diamonds can't touch love's grace.
Status nor name can ere replace.

Time will soon pass and all will see...
The joining of these souls...
Was destiny... ... bound for eternity.
This is life's true gift of LOVE.

Capture

From a single moment the words escaped,
flying free even in moments of rage,
Times of happiness, days of lonliness,
Falling in love, captured in words... a way to rest.
One day... the moments that felt the need..
the perfection to be...
            that was savoured and saved,
Became days lived, loved and let slipped away,
Until a moment flashes and the reality is seen,
One day you will look back and long for
      the captured moments...
            but there won't be any...
                 they will all have been simply lived...
In the bliss of life, stop and save...
the moment you will long to hold again one day,
the images change, the thoughts erase...
Capture, capture the moment... and live it away.
