The moments when the truth 

The pain sinks in 

That you loved so pure 

Unconditionally 

From every single ounce 

Of your being....

You've committed your life 

Your heart and soul....

Sacrificed so much

Made them your world.

And then....

They see you as a source 

A means of supply 

A way to receive 

Whatever it is they desire 

....

And 

For love you have given 

You feel so pure 

For this little soul you 

Helped into this world...

Who is now the adult 

That has become the source...

The source of your pain 

Your joy... Your hope.

Your momentary smiles.

And the one who leaves you 

Used and discarded when 

They got what they want...

Always Broken

In a world so full of beauty 

Things that never cease to amaze...

The greatest disappointment is me.

Each person is created perfect and unique,

And yet somehow in life I allowed this creation 

To become broken deep enough...

That even in moments of my own life's

Happiness..

Another can break me once again with words...

A simple phrase and I'm instantly nothing.

.....

Don't ever let another rob you of you.

They are chains that never break.

Chains that even strangers contain.

Just when you believe you are free....

The weight of even rusted chains,

Will choke the breath away.

Recognized

You spoke volumes of knowledge 

Hidden deep inside 

Caused me to speak in circles 

All of my life...

For the certainty I felt 

Clicked with nothing I knew 

And yet I knew 

that I knew 

Something that breathed true.

When the chapter of life came 

And the pages began to turn 

The recognition was nothing less 

Then an overwhelming 

Yearn.

The desire burns pure 

The need to know more 

With each lesson found 

That says that I was never ever 

Lost...

Only misplaced...

Learning keys along the way 

So when the timing was right 

There would be no door.

Not a moment of hesitation 

A guess of insecurity

Just the days of living free 

For all that is now...
