Not Meant for Pixels

Each day as the screen awakens,
The image that reflects is one I have taken.
A moment that I captured,
A Photograph in time... a picture created from pixels...
A reflection of an image in my mind.

So much is missing from the reflection I see,
The giggles I heard as she touched the stream.
The Laughter I felt as I held her in place...
Close enough to touch, far enough to keep safe.
The warmth of the sun can't be captured the same,
Just can't be recreated to be felt the way it was on that day.

Touch is the most impossible... impossible to see.
For how can a pixel reflect the senses awakened in me?
What it feels like at that moment...
How cold the water was, how warm the rock felt.
The breeze that blew through the air on that day...
Pixels can never recreate those details of that moment.

And oh, the sounds... the simple and sweet sounds.
Certainly one can see from a photograph taken,
The beauty and awe in a moment or destination.
But there are senses that speak in connection with eyes,
That give so much depth to the beauty of life.

How can a picture truly embrace,
What it feels like to stand at the bottom of a waterfall,
Water splashing against rocks... and feel so compelled,
To get as close as humanly possible,
Because life feels like beauty like this is simply...
Meant to be Touchable.

It might not always be able to be captured...
Be recreated.... but it should always be seen,
Be appreciated... acknowledged for the moment it is...
For as beautiful as the world may be...
not everything, is a touchable image...
For not everything is meant to be re-created...

So much of life is created to be appreciated.
Never intended to become a pixelated vision.
